Changes to the way you book appointments or ask us queries

From Monday 6 January, we will be changing the way you can book appointments or ask us general queries.  We are doing this to reduce the amount of time patients spend in the phone queue waiting to speak to us.  This should be a more efficient use of your time and also means our reception team can prioritise urgent calls which we often receive first thing in the morning.

We are asking all our patients to help us:

  • If your query is about an urgent medical issue, contact our reception team by phone at the earliest opportunity.  Our receptionists will ask you some questions from our care navigation system.  The system has been put together by our GPs to ensure you always see the right clinician or receive appropriate guidance.
  • If your query is not urgent, please submit your request via our website between 8.00am and 6.00pm.  We will use our care navigation system to ensure you receive an appropriate response within 2 working days.  There is no need to call us to confirm we have received your request.
  • If your query is not urgent and you are not able to use our website, please call our reception team between 10.00am and 6.00pm.

This is a new change for patients and for the surgery and we will be monitoring feedback closely. Thank you for your patience during this time.
