Berkeley Place Surgery is registered with Doctors of the World as a Safe Surgery. We aim to provide a welcoming environment for everyone in our community and are committed to tackling health inequalities. Everyone living in the UK is entitled to register and consult with a GP but research shows sometimes there are barriers faced by migrants in vulnerable conditions in accessing healthcare.
By registering as a Safe Surgery, we have committed to taking steps to tackle these barriers. In particular our staff have been trained that lack of ID or proof of address, immigration status or language should never be a barrier to patient registration.
