Telephone Triage System

In order to provide a better service for our patients, the partners at Berkeley Place have set up a telephone triage system that runs throughout the day. If you ask for an appointment, the reception staff will take your name and contact number, and put a message through to a doctor. The doctor will call you back as soon as possible (normally within 2 hours) to talk through your symptoms with you. There are often conditions that can be treated over the phone with advice or a prescription. If you need to see a doctor, then an appointment will be arranged on the same day.

Patient Navigators

Our Receptionists are now referred to as Patient Navigators as they have received extra training to support them in guiding you to the most appropriate clinician. Please give them some basic information (you do not need to go into any major detail) as that will assist them in giving you the most appropriate appointment or telephone consultation. Your information as always remains strictly confidential.
